Ted Donato is the head coach of Harvard University's men's ice hockey team, a position he has held since 2004. Born on April 28, 1969, in Boston, Massachusetts, Donato is a former NHL player who played as a left winger for several teams over a 13-year career, including the Boston Bruins, New York Islanders, Ottawa Senators, Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, Dallas Stars, Los Angeles Kings, St. Louis Blues, and New York Rangers. After retiring from professional play in 2004, he transitioned into coaching and has since led Harvard to multiple championships, NCAA tournament appearances, and a Frozen Four showing. Donato is also notable for his successful coaching career at Harvard, where he has set numerous program records and mentored many players who advanced to the NHL.
