Matt Grzelcyk (born January 5, 1994 in Charlestown, Massachusetts) is an American professional ice hockey defenseman. Drafted 85th overall by his hometown Boston Bruins in 2012, Grzelcyk played college hockey at Boston University—serving as captain in his junior and senior seasons and earning All‑American honors.
He made his NHL debut in December 2016 and spent eight seasons with Boston, contributing both defensively and with his puck‑moving skills. In 2024, he signed with the Pittsburgh Penguins, posting a career high in points before signing a new deal with the Chicago Blackhawks for the 2025–26 season.
