Mark Fayne is a retired American professional ice hockey defenseman best known for his seven seasons in the NHL. Born on May 15, 1987, in Nashua, New Hampshire, he played college hockey at Providence College before being selected in the fifth round of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft by the New Jersey Devils. Fayne made his NHL debut with the Devils in the 2010–11 season and played with the team until 2014. He then signed with the Edmonton Oilers, playing there until the end of his professional career in 2018. Throughout his NHL tenure, Fayne was recognized for his reliable defensive play and logged a total of 389 regular-season NHL games, scoring 17 goals and 48 assists.
