John Lilley is the Associate Director of Player Personnel and Director of Pro Scouting for the New York Rangers. He joined the Rangers organization in 2021 after a long tenure with the Toronto Maple Leafs, where he held roles including Director of Amateur Scouting and Director of United States Scouting. Lilley, originally from Wakefield, Massachusetts, was drafted by the Winnipeg Jets in 1990 and played parts of three NHL seasons with the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. He also has significant international experience, having represented Team USA in the 1994 Winter Olympics. Since moving into management and scouting, Lilley has been recognized for his strong talent evaluation skills and has helped build competitive teams through player personnel decisions.
