Greg Zanon is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenseman who played nearly 500 games in the NHL, including three seasons with the Minnesota Wild from 2009 to 2012. Born June 5, 1980, in Burnaby, British Columbia, Zanon was drafted by the Ottawa Senators in 2000 but made his NHL debut with the Nashville Predators in 2005. Known for his defensive reliability and shot-blocking ability, he recorded a career-high 15 points in 81 games during his first season with the Wild. Zanon was traded to the Boston Bruins in 2012 and later signed with the Colorado Avalanche before finishing his career in the AHL. He retired from professional hockey after the 2014–15 season.
