Declan Carlile

Declan Carlile (born May 18, 2000 in Hartland, Michigan) is an American defenseman currently playing with the Syracuse Crunch in the AHL while under contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning. He joined the Lightning organization in 2022 after a standout collegiate career at Merrimack College. Known for his strong reads, timing in defensive plays, and ability to block lanes, Carlile combines physicality with smart decision-making. He made his NHL debut in January 2024, scoring his first goal and showcasing his ability to transition between levels.
