Chris Drury is a retired American professional ice hockey center and current executive, known for his 12-season NHL career and leadership roles. Born August 20, 1976, in Trumbull, Connecticut, he had a standout collegiate career at Boston University where he won the Hobey Baker Award as the top college player and led BU to the 1995 NCAA Championship. Drafted by the Quebec Nordiques in 1994, Drury started his NHL career with the Colorado Avalanche in 1998, winning the Calder Memorial Trophy as Rookie of the Year and the Stanley Cup in 2001. He also played for the Calgary Flames, Buffalo Sabres (where he was captain), and New York Rangers, serving as Rangers captain from 2008 to 2011. Internationally, he represented the USA in three Winter Olympics, earning two silver medals. After retiring, Drury became president and general manager of the New York Rangers in 2021. He was inducted into the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame in 2015.
