UMass Lowell senior defenseman Nick Schaus has signed a one-year contract with the San Jose Sharks, and will report to Worcester (AHL) pending a physical.

Schaus, who becomes the second senior River Hawk in as many days to sign an NHL deal, finished the season with 23 points (9G, 14A) in 37
